Hi, I’m Steph! I run this club.

I’ve played competitive sports all my life. Some family and friends may argue it set a competitive streak in me that influences me to this day. I happen to believe sports can and should be competitive — and fun. I want to instill both for young girls starting out.

I have coached volleyball, basketball and track at Highland Park Middle School for 3 years, club volleyball for 10 years, soccer at the JV and Varsity level at Greenhill School and Highland Park ISD. I have also coached soccer In Europe and all over the South Pacific.

Fun fact: I can quote every line in the Sound of Music.


 

Lana Cairns

Greer grew up in Dallas where she started playing volleyball in 3rd grade. She enjoyed playing competitively for several clubs (Excel, Victory, Texas Assault) and Highland Park’s varsity team. Upon graduating from Highland Park High School, she went on to play D3 volleyball for Washington &; Lee University. After living in Los Angeles for the past 3 years, she has recently moved back to Dallas. She has coached teams and private lessons on and off for the last 10 years. She looks forward to joining the Lone Star team and help players work on their skills.

Fun fact: ’m a huge foodie, so I have another instagram account solely to post pictures of food I order from restaurants.

Allison Atwood

Allison coached volleyball coach for 5 years with clubs in Missouri and another 5 years in Dallas. Allison played Club Wisconsin Juniors from 11-18 years old and then college volleyball at Truman State University. She loves that she gets to encourage her players while helping them develop new skills.

Fun fact: Allison used to do competitive jump roping!


Elizabeth Ibbotson

Hi! I’m Elizabeth! I was born and raised here in Dallas and have never left. I have always been a pretty competitive and athletic person and was a sports girl from the time I could walk. I grew up playing soccer and basketball and continued playing basketball through my freshman year of high school until multiple serious injuries caused me to have to stop. Working with kids and helping them learn and grow is one of my biggest passions, and I am excited to combine this with my love of sports in coaching and enter the exciting world of volleyball!

Fun Fact:

I was a Ballkid for the Dallas Mavericks for three years in high school and got to rebound for the players before the games and mop the floors during the games.



Ginna Klein

Ginna coached volleyball, basketball, and soccer at Camp Mystic the past 6 summers. She also participated in a variety of intramural sports throughout college. Her favorite thing about coaching for Lone Star is that the focus is to encourage girls and teach them new skills in a competitive environment.

Fun fact: I am really good at buying shoes!


Savannah Pacheco

Savannah has coached volleyball for Lone Star Sports for the past 4 years in addition to coaching softball for club and at Highland Park High School. She loves Lone Star volleyball because it gives girls a place to learn the game and gain confidence prior to trying out for middle school.

Fun Fact: Savannah loves being crafty and to cook!


Maya Davison

Maya has been coaching since she was a senior in high school. She started coaching at Texas Star Volleyball, then when she lived in California she coached club volleyball for Club Cruz, and now has been coaching for Lone Star sports for 3 years. Maya’s playing experience includes playing at Highland Park High School (outside hitter- Varsity 4 years), she also played for many clubs including Skyline, Excel, Dallas Juniors, and Texas Assault. Maya went on to play college volleyball for the University of California Santa Cruz.

Fun fact: Maya is great at talking in weird voices and copying voices from shows


Shelby Todd

Shelby is a current Master’s of Christian Education student at Dallas Theological Seminary. She has played volleyball since 4th grade and is a sport enthusiast all around. The last few years, she has worked with kids and students in various capacities through churches. She just moved from Savannah, GA in the last year in order to continue pursuing her education and have better opportunities to serve with kids. Shelby has lots of experience with coaching and teaching kids from many backgrounds.

Fun fact: Shelby loves to ride road bikes along with race cars and go-karts any chance she


Nora Carlson

Nora is from Austin and has played volleyball for a very long time. Not only was she a four-year starter on her high school varsity team, but she played club for 5 years. Nora first played at Austin Performance Volleyball Club and then played for Austin Skyline. She also played two years for the SMU club volleyball team. She has mostly been a middle blocker, but has also played right side pretty consistently. Nora is very excited about coaching and encouraging young girls to love volleyball as much as she does.

Fun Fact: Nora was once a member of a hip-hop dance company.


Kylie Mauer

Kylie has coached various volleyball leagues since high school and this is her first year with Lone Star. Born and raised in Houston, TX, she played club for TX Elite and Texas Tornadoes. Volleyball brings out her strongest competitive streak and she is an avid lover of the game. In addition to playing club volleyball, she also participated in a variety of intramural sports throughout college and continues to play in local leagues around Dallas. Her favorite thing about coaching for Lone Star is the ability to help the girls enhance their skills and gain extra repetitions throughout the year.

Fun fact: I have swam with the pigs and fed the iguanas in Exuma, Bahamas - my favorite place on earth


Kathryn Wilk

Kathryn grew up playing competitive beach and indoor volleyball in Dallas, TX and has a great passion for the sport! She played for 692 Beach, Skyline, and Excel. She has coached 5th and 6th grade indoor teams since her junior year of high school. Always the athlete and competitor, Kathryn played intramural volleyball throughout college at the University of Texas. She loves sharing her excitement and knowledge for volleyball and working with girls on their skills.

Fun fact: Kathryn is a first-year teacher in DISD this year! She'll teach her favorite subject: History!!


Lindsey Welch

Lindsey, originally from North Carolina, moved to Dallas six years ago after graduating from the University of North Carolina (go heels!). During college and since graduating, she has played on various intramural and sand volleyball teams as well as assisted in coaching youth teams. She loves getting involved with the community and back on the court. She has played volleyball since middle school and was the captain of her varsity high school team. 

Fun fact: She has a deep obsession with sharks and has seen basically any movie involving a shark several times (including all six Sharknados).


Morgan Cody

Morgan played volleyball growing up and played competitively in college intramurals. She loves the sport and plays in adult recreational leagues. Morgan loves the challenge that sports bring to build teams and individual players to be the best they can be on and off the court.

Fun Fact: Morgan loves a good road trip. As long as it involves snacks and a good playlist.


Alley Lowery

Alley grew up in McKinney, Tx playing all different sports, she fell in love with volleyball when it was introduced to her  in the 6th grade. She continued to play volleyball in high school and college at Chico State University. Alley has been coaching volleyball for over 10 years at all different grade levels. She is now the assistant volleyball coach at HP and have been in the HPISD district for 2 years.



Katherine Sale

Hi! I am Katherine and I’ve been in Dallas for over three years now. I graduated from Baylor University in 2020, then SMU in 2021. I currently work as a consultant with a focus in technology. My desk job makes me even more excited about being a coach as I get to be active and hang out with your daughters after work!

Fun Fact: I love Taylor Swift and know almost all of her songs by heart!


Marven Thomas

Marven has been playing volleyball since 2016. He coached for about 6.5 years. During his free time he loves to build Legos and watch cartoons!

Courtney Eades

Courtney has been a volleyball player since she was in 7th grade. Her mom played in college, and then, her brother also played in college so it has always been a family thing. She was a setter for her club volleyball team and her high school team. She also plays beach volleyball. She loves coaching and helping her team love the sport. Her biggest goal for the season is making sure the girls have fun!

Fun Fact: She was a world champion jump roper and traveled the world coaching jump rope.


Francis Hood

Frances has competed in various sports since she was 10- ranging from basketball, softball, volleyball and track. She played basketball and volleyball at Paul Quinn College in Dallas, Texas. She coaches basketball and track at Highland Park Middle School. She is also the owner of Sports and Academic Excellence focusing on basketball skills.

Fun Fact: Frances played flag football for 3 years after graduating college.


Kat Ely

Kat brings a passion for volleyball and a unique perspective to coaching the team. While she played volleyball in high school, her love for the sport has only grown over the years and her dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive environment sets her apart. Her coaching style? It's all about teamwork, skill-building, and creating a space where everyone feels like a VIP player. Off the court, she’s not your typical coach. By day, Kat is in the real estate game, helping folks find those diamonds in the rough for some serious fixing up. But when she’s not doing that, you'll catch her camping, horse back riding, diving into a good book, or just hanging with friends—And, of course, she's always up for a game of volleyball with her cat as the honorary referee.


Julianne Harper

Julianne coached volleyball for 7 years, basketball for 5 years, track for 6 years, and cross country for 2 years at Highland Park Middle School.

Fun fact: Julianne can hold a handstand for a really long time.


Eldhah Absalom

Eldhah was a Division I Athlete for the University of Texas-Arlington. She coached volleyball for Texas Image Volleyball Club : TCU Volleyball camps : Little Rock Jrs. Desoto High School. Highland Park. Currently at Horn High.

  • Coached at a national level

  • Mentored youth with essential volleyball fundamentals and techniques required for success

Fun Fact:   Eldhah played professional football for Arlington Impact.


Lexi Goehring

I am from Austin, TX and played club volleyball in middle and high school! I went to TCU for my undergrad and am now in my second year of medical school at Texas A&M in Dallas!

Fun Fact: I used to have a small pig.


Rebekah Tabb

Rebekah is a current counseling student at Dallas Theological Seminary. She grew up playing a variety of sports and continued to play college basketball in Chicago. The last two years, she has been working in Brazil doing sports ministry, which included coaching and playing volleyball, basketball, and dance to kids and teens. Rebekah has much experience in coaching and teaching a variety of sports and is excited to be joining the team.

Fun Fact: Rebekah has broken the same front tooth 6 times!


Colleen Johnson

I have coached basketball, volleyball, and track at highland park middle school, Varsity basketball at Ursuline Academy for 7 years and club volleyball and basketball for over 15 years. I played basketball at St. Edward’s University in Austin. Currently, I am the Physical Education Teacher at Boone Elementary and have 3 children- 9, 7 and 4.

Fun Fact: One day I will live on an island and eat sushi for every meal!


Brooke Birleson

Brooke’s hobbies are spending time outdoors, hanging out with friends, painting, DIYs, and of course volleyball! She played volleyball from 3rd grade until college where she played intramural volleyball. Brooke graduated from the University of Arkansas, woo pig!
Fun fact: Brooke is a registered nurse in Dallas.


Sam Mompremier

Samuel is a student of Dallas Theological Seminary who is studying to attain a Master of Arts in Chaplaincy and Ministry Care. He moved to Dallas from Miami, Florida where he has years of volunteer and work experience with kids and youth ministries and organizations. Samuel is a sports enthusiast who loves teaching sports to people of all ages, but especially kids! He has played many sports of all kinds, from sports like soccer and track & field to sports like bowling and Ultimate Frisbee.

Fun Fact: Coach Sam is that of all the sports he plays, his favorite sport is Mountain Biking!



Michala Wawro

Michala grew up in DFW playing volleyball since 4th grade. Volleyball has always been one of her favorite sports even in a non-competitive, fun setting. Michala is excited to work with these young women and teach good technique and sportsmanship.

Fun Fact:
Michala has never had a nosebleed.
